We had an animal communicator come out to the barn today to do readings on some of the horses. Of course, I jumped at the idea and put Shaman on the list. It was absolutely fascinating, I almost cried at one point. Here's the rundown of what occured during my boy's "reading":

He was indeed mis-handled by a trainer of the male persuasion, hence his dislike for them now. The scar on his right hind is from a trailer loading gone wrong. He didn't want to go in, so the trainer got into a battle of strength with him. He ended up spinning around and catching his leg on something inside the trailer. He likes to be "top dog," and intimidate (hell, I knew that!) Everything should be done his way, hence his behavior out in the field. He's very competitive. Donetta (the "psychic") mentioned that I have a short "pet name" for him (indeed, I do. I love my boo!) and that he loves when I call him that. (This is where it gets deep, if you will.) He looks at me not as his boss or his owner, but as his friend. His partner. He trusts me not to hurt him, and likes it best when it's just the two of us working together. (Donetta said one day, it will be just the two of us. What that means, I've little understanding. But I digress...) He likes when I ride bare-back, knows that I'm strong enough. Our strengths flow well together. He's a one person horse. (No worries there, I wouldn't give him up for anything.) He's a cat kinda guy (which explains his wonderful behavior with the new kitten at the barn.) Apparently he likes music, and Donetta is mailing me a tape of music for him.

These are the most important parts, a few little things were said, but nothing as amazing as what I've posted. How she knew about his other name, I'll never know. I certainly didn't say it in front of her before hand.
